Sushil Narsian, a Mumbaikar, has complained that he was charged a whooping Rs 149 crore by Olba for a 300-metre ride on April 1, 2017. It was not an April Fool’s prank either as the company has admitted “there was a glitch”.

ola-charges-149-crores_dollar_scamNarsian immediately posted a screenshot of the bill on Twitter with a tag to Ola customer support. He immediately received a reply, saying: “Please message the booking ID and we will look into it.”

Not only that, the cab company deducted Rs 127 for the ride from his Ola wallet.

The company said that it has fixed the glitch and Narsian was refunded his money within two hours. Oh, he was also given a ‘special offer’ (a discount code/coupon) for his next ride.

Narsian’s complaint accompanied by his declaration to use another cab service Uber could have prompted immediate action by Ola.
