Flipkart announced last week what the company claimed to be the first of its kind ‘No cost EMI’ in the country for online shoppers.

How It Is supposed To Work

Flipkart said you will be able to purchase products without paying the full amount. You will be paying just the equal monthly instalments (EMI) for the product.

To make this possible, Flipkart has inked a deal with Bajaj Finserv.

But, here’s the catch! It is not free as being claimed by Flipkart.

You must cough up Rs 349 to get Bajaj Finserv EMI card. In addition, there is annual fee of Rs 99 for the card.

So, Flipkart’s claims of ‘No Cost EMI’ offer is just another sham, and probably deemed to be a scam.
