I love hearing news about consumers taking on even multinational companies. Here’s the latest example why of customers in India are not to be taken  lightly.

An aggrieved customer had moved district consumer forum in Panchkula against Maruti Suzuki India Limited and its local dealership. . . The court has directed the dealership and Maruti Suzuki to paythe man the full discount promised and the gold coin which will be given jointly by Maruti Suzuki and the dealer. Rs 10,000 will also have to be paid as compensation for harassment and mental agony while another Rs 5,000 was cost of litigation for failing to abide by the conditions of the advertisement.
